Silas is a freelance designer and illustrator. He has an associates degree in commercial arts from MATC in Madison, WI. He worked at Horizon Fitness (now Johnson Fitness) where he was hired immediately following his internship there for 2 years. He created POP adverts, instruction manuals, assembly guides and faceplate overlays for a large home fitness company. Freelance, Silas has worked for a lot of local bands over the past 15+ years, creating b(r)and identity, shirts, websites, flyers and albums. As an illustrator, in college, Silas worked for three semesters as a newspaper cartoonist with a cirulation of 20,000, writing and drawing his own comic strips. He has also self-published several issues of Bored & Violent, a punk rock comic fanzine with a global audience. Finally, Silas spends much of his free time taking people skin-diving and volunteering at the Waikiki Aquarium in Hawai‘i.
